Dan Jennings – Ohio Valley Wrestling Q&A
Daniel Jennings, part of our excellent networking team at Nouveau, will be embarking on an exciting three-month sabbatical to train as a wrestler over in the United States. We are absolutely thrilled to be able to offer Daniel this opportunity and are almost as excited for him as he is for himself!
Whilst we will miss Dan around the office for the next three months, we eagerly await his return so he can share his adventure with us all.
In the meantime, we thought it would be a good idea to throw some questions Daniel’s way in order to give you some insight as to what his trip is all about!
1. How long have you been working at Nouveau?
I have been working for Nouveau for almost 5 years starting as a Junior support engineer answering calls and fixing level 1 issues and working my way up to a Networking Engineer with a focus on our SIEM (FortiAssist service).
2. Tell us about your trip! What are you getting up to?
I am traveling to Ohio (Kentucky) to train for 3 months under Al snow. During this time I will be training for 4 days traveling and competing in matches for 2 days and spending 1-day doing theory analysing match and crowd psychology.
3. What is Ohio Valley Wrestling?
Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) is one of the top training academies in the world and has produced some current superstars such as Brock Lesner, Batista, Randy Orton, and the Miz. They also have one of the longest running TV Series in history with over 1000 episodes to date.
4. What inspired you to take on this challenge?
After the passing of my father I have tried to push myself in every aspect of my life to live without any regrets. I went to my first training session over 2 years ago where they got me to bump on a mat since then I have not looked back.
5. Are you going to miss Nouveau? 😉
I will. I have been with this company for a long time and will miss the staff and the challenges that come with the role, but I look forward to coming back in a few months to get back to work!
