within Nouveau as Customer Success Manager.

We want to ensure that our customers have a good experience when dealing with Nouveau and throughout every interaction. Sara will be liaising with new and existing clients, onboarding them to our customer online portal and working with stakeholders within the business to ensure customer satisfaction. Sara’s previous experience and exceptional skills in customer service, coupled with her knowledge of our clients means she is ideally placed to take on this exciting new challenge.

At Nouveau the role of protecting our customers information assets and data subjects is one that we take very seriously.  As your IT partner we understand that it is important to you that we can demonstrate that we have implemented the relevant IT security precautions and processes to show that we are acting responsibly on your behalf and that Information Security is our biggest priority.

Cyber Essentials Accreditation – is a UK government scheme encouraging organisations to adopt good practice in information security.

ISO 27001 / 2013 Accreditation – we have just completed our Stage 2 Audit which we are delighted to announce that we have been recommended for achievement.

General Data Protection Regulation – we respect your personal information and are currently reviewing our data processing activities and process to ensure that we adhere to the recommendations set out in the new data protection legislation, due to commence on the 25th May 2018.

By implementing these measures, we believe we are demonstrating our commitment to continuously improve our Information Security standards and strengthen our relationship with our clients, suppliers and partners as a trusted managed service provider.

We are delighted that Nouveau Solutions has been awarded the Small and Midmarket Cloud Solutions competency at the Gold level for Office 365.

This accreditation allows Nouveau to join an elite group of partners who are awarded a Microsoft Gold competency.  Gold partners must demonstrate proven expertise in delivering quality solutions in a specialised area and meet certain criteria including performance metrics, pass technical competency exams and provide a number of customer references.

Nouveau Solutions Celebrate 25th Anniversary with the Launch of a New Website

As we entered our 25th year in business, we believed it was an opportunity for us to think about how the industry has changed significantly since Nouveau Solutions was founded. The IT industry is fast-paced and our passion for it drives us to ensure that we constantly evolve our business in response to industry trends and customer demands.

With this in mind, we are delighted to announce the launch of our redesigned website! We felt that the previous website did not accurately portray the breadth of IT solutions that we offer, and feel confident that the new website provides a more accurate picture of the IT services we provide for our customers.

The new website has been created with users at the front and centre of our thinking, and during our scoping process for the new website, we requested feedback from our customers to ensure the site would meet their needs and requirements when searching for IT services. We are committed to providing IT managed services around two key objectives, and this has been the focus of our new website:

• Create a user experience that is meaningful and enabling;
• Design a service aligned to your business goals and objectives.

We wanted to help users find the information they need quicker, making the process of implementing IT solutions as easy as possible. Throughout our 25 years of operation we have always strived to deliver to organisations a high standard of service, and to be at the forefront of innovation within the IT sector. Our new website has enabled us to showcase our expertise and show how we’ve kept up to date with industry changes, particularly around security and the cloud.

Previously, the structure of Nouveau Solutions website was focused primarily around on-premise IT security solutions for our customers, cloud adoption and the rise in the multitude of security threats has meant that our business has seen a big shift to providing more security managed services and supporting our clients as they embrace the benefits from implementing cloud technology.

46% of UK businesses have suffered a cyber-attack of some sort, and without comprehensive cyber security, many of these businesses have suffered as a result, making it imperative that we are providing our customers with a complete managed IT security solution.

Security Update – Flaws in Processors

Security Update – Flaws in Processors

Two major security flaws have been announced this week which are said to affect all Intel and some AMD and ARM processors.  This has led to a surge of patches and updates being released by vendors that we feel is important to share with you.

What do we know?

The exploits are called Meltdown and Spectre which take advantage of critical vulnerabilities in many modern computer processing units, or microchips made by Intel and potentially ARM and AMD.  Both attacks circumvent security built into major operating systems hence the need for fixes and patches.

It is important to note that no known exploits can take advantage of these vulnerabilities at present, however we would encourage that you follow good security practice to mitigate these risks and apply the fixes and patches relevant to your environment.

From a Nouveau perspective we are monitoring the situation and we will apply patches (if required) and updates to customers who have a support agreement with us.   You should expect further communication from us on our course of action.  If you do not have an existing support agreement with us, but would like help in terms of what steps you should be taking to ensure the security of your systems, then please get in contact.

Nouveau Vendor Updates:-

Intel and Linux have developed tools to detect and mitigate the Meltdown and Spectre vulnerabilities in Windows and Linux. See INTEL-SA-00075 Detection and Mitigation Tool (Windows) and INTEL-SA-00075 Linux Detection and Mitigation Tools (Linux) for further information.

Fortinet: strongly recommends upgrading to their latest publicly available software versions.  For more information go to
