A huge thank you to everyone at CRN for shortlisting us for the Best New Business Win award at the CRN Sales and Marketing Awards last night.

It was a terrific night, with great presentations and excellent hosting. Huge congratulations to MTI Technology for winning the Best New Business Win award!

Working with Timeline TV on their project was an absolute pleasure. We would like to thank them for giving us the opportunity to work on such an outstanding project.

Hopefully, we will be back at the awards event in the near future to bring home a shiny new trophy!

Regardless of what the outcome was, it was a fantastic evening that our team thoroughly enjoyed. We look forward to a successful future with many more awards night to come!

 

We’re on the Digital Marketplace, G-Cloud 11

We’re on the Digital Marketplace, G-Cloud 11

We are now selling a range of cloud solutions through G-Cloud 11 on the Digital Marketplace. Our current cloud support services on the Digital Marketplace are currently Cloud Infrastructure and Network Services and Fortinet Managed Firewall Service.

Selling our services on G-Cloud 11 means that buying services will be faster, cheaper and more efficient than entering into individual procurement contracts.

Andy Stevens, Business Unit Director at Nouveau, says “as part of growing the business, it only makes sense to broaden the range of options our customers have when it comes to buying our services. Earlier this month our Managing Director, Andy Stevens, spoke to Comms Dealer about the recent of acquisition of Nouveau Solutions by VINCI Energies – a strategic decision that has led the business to be in a stronger position than ever before.

Reliving our journey from our humble beginnings to our establishment as an industry-leading IT Managed Services Company. We’ve selected a few of our highlights from Andy’s interview below – you can read the full article here.

Our journey

“Our first big deal in 1995 brought money into the business and enabled us to start building a team and a regular client base, key milestones include achieving Microsoft Gold competency, Fortinet Platinum Partner, moving offices, achieving ISO27001 and 9001 and creating our own SaaS platform

We have built a SIEM proposition and proactive monitoring team, our security side of the business has more than quadrupled. We have also seen a reduction in traditional infrastructure as businesses move to the cloud and associated services. Current focus areas also include SD-WAN, vulnerability management, Security as a Service and building out our cloud stack.”

Choosing the right buyer

“The initial discussions on a possible sale began about a year ago… it was a case of understanding what we did, whether there was a fit and if there was a personal ambition for this to happen. There was no rush nor pressure. But as we continued to grow organically we felt that we could accelerate our growth through the right acquisition.

And, after our best year of trading, we still recognised the expansion we wanted would not come simply through organic growth alone. We didn’t want to sell our business to a private equity firm. We wanted to ensure that our existing team were on board and continue to support our growth moving forwards.”

Meeting the needs of our team

“We were not looking at the time we were approached by VINCI, however, after considerable due diligence and many conversations it became apparent that this could be a viable option which would give us what we personally wanted as well as meeting the needs and ambitions of our staff.

Around 20 per cent of our team have been with us for 10-plus years, we have a low staff turnover, practically no sickness and have built a great positive workplace.”

A time to maximise opportunities

“[VINCI Energies’ acquisition] in effect gives us a whole new channel opportunity, the support of VINCI will make Nouveau a more commercial proposition for new clients with sizeable deals. Our main priorities now are to transition the business and maximise the opportunities available to us through building relationships with other business units, while not taking our eye off the ball.”

Greenbone Networks partners with Nouveau Solutions Ltd to boost UK market reach

Nouveau adds Greenbone vulnerability management solutions to its cybersecurity portfolio

1st May, 2019 – Greenbone Networks, a leading provider of vulnerability management, today announced it is partnering with Reading-based managed services company, Nouveau Solutions Ltd, to boost the availability of its vulnerability management solutions in the UK market. The deal means Nouveau, which delivers a range of IT, network and managed services to more than 500 UK organisations, will now offer the Greenbone Security Manager appliances as part of its cybersecurity portfolio.

To help its customers improve their security posture, Nouveau has developed a Security Lifecycle Process; a proven methodology that enables organisations to protect their infrastructures against rapidly emerging cybersecurity threats. Greenbone’s solutions will pay a strategic role in this process, by enabling Nouveau’s team of managed services experts to automatically identify vulnerabilities in its customers’ infrastructures, while at the same time, close these gaps.

Nouveau, which has a range of commercial and public sector customers, anticipates particular demand for these vulnerability management services from UK health providers.

“UK organisations – especially in the health sector – are still smarting from the WannaCry attacks, when hackers exploited a well-known vulnerability in order to spread their malware and hold entire organisations to ransom. No one wants to run the risk of a similar attack, so organisations are increasingly turning to vulnerability management solutions to pinpoint and close weak spots in their infrastructures,” said Andy Stevens, Business Unit Director of Nouveau. “This is a very timely partnership with Greenbone. It’s industry-leading vulnerability management system is a great complement to the solutions we offer at Nouveau and its hands-on approach to working with the channel makes it the ideal partner.”
